Blessing in Jordan
Project manager Barry van der Schoot spent more than six weeks in Jordan to study. This was not the first time for her to be in Jordan. When she visits there, she always visits the Christian congregation at which Pastor Imran* gives leadership.
One of the elders in this rapidly growing Christian congregation is brother Yassin*. “Yassin. is one of the driving forces when it comes to evangelism among the Iraqi refugees. Every Wednesday evening several teams from this congregation go out to visit Iraqi refugee families and to tell them about the gospel. These families are generally poor, and truly have nothing. Sometimes the congregants take along food packets for them. But the most important thing is that they share the gospel, the Word of hope and rescue through the blood of Christ.” In addition, the congregation meets every Friday afternoon with the hundreds of Iraqis for Bible study meetings. “Busloads of people who all gather around the Word. It is so special to see this ,” according to Barry.
“It is so special to see how powerfully the Lord works in this congregation”
When elder Yassin became acquainted with the website of Bible and Book Ministry, he was impressed by the quantity of books which are posted there. He decided to immediately share the link with all those hundreds of Iraqis who attend the meetings. Besides this, he shares it within the WhatsApp group which includes Christians from Egypt and from other Arabic countries. “Altogether that amounts to hundreds of people who have all received a link to the website. During the last few weeks, the book “Bridge to Genesis” by Rev. A.T. Vergunst in Arabic increased from 2 to 200 downloads in short order. It is so special to see how powerfully the Lord works in this congregation. And that our website may contribute to this, is a great blessing.”
The congregation of Pastor Imran grows exponentially
According to Pastor Imran. the fields in the Middle East are white to harvest. “While secularization continually increases in the West, the congregations in the Middle East grow enormously. People come to faith and there is great hunger for the Word and for reliable spiritual reading material.” The pastor has a Facebook page and a website on which, amongst other things, he responds to the many questions from Muslims and Christians. This page is visited frequently. This illustrates that the door has been opened wide. In order to be able to educate all these people, reliable reading material is needed. That is why we are so extremely pleased with your website. We can use it to educate our youth and to help the more mature among us in their faith. What a blessing. Thank you for that.”

The testimony of Vera*
Her name is Vera. She is a Sunday school teacher in a small Christian congregation somewhere in the Middle East. With heart and soul, she gives Bible lessons to the children of the congregation. She draws from her own knowledge, from everything she has heard, and from the Word of God. But she noticed that she needed more. More certainty, depth and knowledge. More genuine lesson materials with which she could lead the children through the Word step by step. But it was not available. Nowhere. She brought her need to the Lord, and He heard. “As if ‘by coincidence’ I heard about the website of Bible and Book Ministry. A website where, without expense, I could download reliable lesson materials. I was so pleased and surprised. So much lesson material for the children. So much knowledge. This was an answer to my prayer.”

We regularly receive such beautiful messages from fellow Christians who were able to make use of our website. Encouraging, hope-filled messages, which encourage us to continue to translate books. But for this we urgently require your prayer and financial support as well. Will you help us to feed our fellow Christians with the Word and with reliable literature?
